Job Summary

EFL Teacher with Spanish at NEW SCHOOL from September 2022 to June 2023, renewable. Looking for an enthusiastic and responsible language teaching professional for different age groups and levels with a minimum of one year experience in teaching.
Tarrega is a peaceful and lively small-sized town with a privileged location 100km from Barcelona, 20 minutes from Lleida and an hour drive to the mountains or the beach.

Details of Position

NEW SCHOOL is now recruiting a full-time EFL teacher to join the team from September 2022 onwards. We are looking for a responsible and enthusiastic language teaching professional who can teach a wide array of different levels and age groups, both children and corporate students, with experience in teaching advanced (C1) students and Cambridge exams techniques.
We are looking for an adaptable person and a team-player with a passion for both teaching English and learning, constantly trying to improve and innovate.

We are a well-established language and vocational training centre in the area with almost 40 years of experience. We have an innovative and quality-driven approach to training constantly aiming for excellence. The centre is located in a peaceful and lively small-sized town at a privileged crossroads about an hour drive from Barcelona, 30 minutes by car from Lleida and a couple of hours on high-speed train to Madrid, also taken from Lleida. The mountains are only 100km away and the coast of Tarragona only a 45 minute drive.

Qualifications

- C2 certificate or near-native level of English.
- 1 year experience required.
- Experience in Cambridge exams preparation.
- CELTA / Trinity / TEFL / TESOL certificates a plus.
- Minimum B1 level of Spanish or Catalan required.
- European driving licence required.

Salary and Benefits

29 teaching hours/week September + 2 admin hours / week.
September 2022 - June 2023, renewable, with comprehensive medical coverage by the Spanish Social Security.
1.677 gross/month
Optional extra teaching hours (15/h gross).
School opening hours: Monday to Friday: 8.00h - 22.00h.
Courses may include: general English to adults, corporate customers, preparation courses for Cambridge First and Advanced for teenagers, children 9yo and above.
No lessons on Saturdays.
