We are looking for applicants who are committed and have a genuine interest in teaching young learners. Previous summer school experience is welcomed although not essential. It is a great environment for newly qualified teachers as there is a lot of support and opportunities for development; a great way to launch your TEFL career!

Teachers are required to teach 27 contact hours per week plus 3 hours per week for student testing and orientation.

Teachers use pre-prepared materials and their own lesson plans, allowing them to be creative but not having to plan every lesson; they are also able to repeat lessons daily which cuts down on the planning time considerably.

Residential teachers will also undertake 4 activity sessions per week. Teachers WILL NOT have any pastoral duties.

We believe strongly in our responsibility to promote the development of our teachers, and consequently we have an excellent programme of staff development including:

- A fully resourced syllabus with accompanying lesson plans

- A programme of lesson observations with constructive written and face to face feedback
- In-house Teacher Development Sessions.

- Regular staff meetings

- Pre-course online induction + Staff Handbook
- Pre-course online Safeguarding course
- Pre-course staff training in the centre

- a Degree
- TEFLi certificate, for example, CELTA or Trinity Cert. TESOL: a certificate externally validated and with at least 100 hour of input and at least 6 hours supervised teaching practice with real students, or
- PGCE English/Modern Languages with ELT/TESOL subsidiary and EFL teaching experience, or
University Certificate in ELT/TESOL course subsidiary and EFL teaching experience

Applicants without a degree but who hold a relevant EFL teaching qualification and experience may be considered. If you do not have any of the above qualifications, please consider our other summer roles and send us your CV to see if we have any suitable positions.

Salary and Benefits

Teacher salaries from £375 to £410 per week.

Teacher salaries from £420 to £459 per week if no holiday taken: Holiday pay in lieu of any untaken holiday (12.07% of total gross salary) will be added at the end of the contract.)
