Part and Full-time qualified English Language Teachers required to join our existing team of highly qualified and experienced permanent full-time teachers for the academic year 2021/22.

We provide a warm, friendly atmosphere for our students, which makes for an ideal environment to achieve important goals together.
We teach English to people of all ages, from pre-school to adults, and to all levels (A1-C2 Common European Framework). The school provides courses of General English, International Exam Preparation and ESP. In addition, we are also an accredited Pearson Test Centre (PTE centre no. 84932) as well as Cambridge Exam Preparation Centre so our teachers can also gain valuable experience as exam interlocutors. Our courses are complemented by a range of extra services such as conversation classes, grammar lab, email in English and multimedia resources such as Pearson's My English Lab and brought to life with our interactive whiteboard technology in order to give students the most complete service possible. We also offer in-house and online lessons to cater to a wider range of needs.
Our main opening times are Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 8.30pm. Full-time teachers are required to work 23 hours a week on average and the majority of lessons are in the afternoon/evenings.
Teacher development is assured through an initial training and induction period from mid-September to early October plus ongoing CPD with workshops, webinars, regular observations, feedback, appraisals and bimonthly meetings with the Head of Young learners, Asst. Director of Studies the Director of Studies. We also subsidise the DELTA distance module A for teachers who go on to do a second year with us and it is also possible to train to become a speaking examiner through our school.
Native level speaker
CELTA/TEFL/CELTYL/TESOL teaching qualification (full-time course with real classroom teaching practice, no online or weekend courses).
The ideal candidate will:
- possess at least 3 full years of experience in an English language school teaching young learners and adults in groups and individually (preferably in Italy)
- have experience with Young learners and enjoy teaching Young Learners
- have excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly but professional approach to the role
- be enthusiastic
- be flexible and responsive to feedback from students, senior staff and director of studies
- be reliable, practical and hard-working
- possess an excellent working knowledge of English grammar
The successful teacher will, with the aid of a core text book, be able to plan and prepare interesting, engaging and above all, learner-centred, communicative lessons for students of all ages.
Experience in Italy and some knowledge of the Italian language is an advantage.
Salary and Benefits
Fully comprehensive contract with social security payments in Italy
Monthly pay for part-time, 15hrs, to full-time, 23hrs, 800-1400 euros net pay after tax (gross 1000-2000 euros) depending on level of experience and qualifications.
