Enthusiastic English teachers required for September 2021 in Lugo, Galicia, Northern Spain. Full-time contract in friendly, supportive school.

Details of Position

Alba Languages is a small, family-run English school in North-West Spain. We are currently looking for two enthusiastic native level teachers who hold the necessary permits for working in the EU to join our team.

These positions start in September 2021 and finish in June 2022. All our teachers are given a full-time, legal contract, with corresponding social security payments being made. Teaching is mainly, but not exclusively, afternoons/evenings. We teach children from 4 years to adults.
Lugo is a small city, the capital of the province of Lugo in Galicia.

With a population of 100,000, Lugo is a very safe and friendly city with an excellent tapas culture. There is also a campus of the University of Santiago in the city. The cost of living is low here and it is very cheap to go out, share a flat etc. Lugo is about an hour from the coast. Galicia is a beautiful part of Green Spain and is very different from southern and central Spain, both in climate and culture.

Qualifications

A University degree (preferably in languages), a working knowledge of Spanish and a recognised teaching qualification are essential for this post.
1 year's teaching experience or equivalent is required.
Applicants must have EU citizenship or already possess suitable working permits.
Applicants must be native level speakers of English.
Experience of Cambridge exams an advantage.
Experience of teaching online an advantage.
