Details of Position
Our highly communicative approach aims to enable students to communicate with fluency, precision, and autonomy across a range of real-world situations. As well as providing students with a thorough grounding in structure and grammar, we seek to develop the four language skills that are central to effective communication: speaking, listen, reading, and writing.
Besides traditional lessons of one hour and fifteen minutes, we offer students a series of complementary services including: help lessons (supplementary one-to-one sessions with a tutor, the content tailored to the specific needs of each student); conversation sessions (group sessions aimed at enhancing fluency in confidence in spoken English); and mock exams (full simulations of the Cambridge Assessment English examinations).
The ideal candidate will be a reliable team-player with a dynamic classroom presence and a passion for teaching. Teachers will work 25 hours a week with duties including: teaching group and individual lessons; materials development and/or marking; exam invigilation. Teachers are given initial induction and ongoing professional development, paid holidays, and sick pay (on production of a valid medical certificate). We offer teachers who meet the minimum professional requirements the chance to train up as a speaking examiner for Cambridge certifications.
The spacious and luminous city-centre premises are fully compliant with all aspects of health and safety regulations relating to Covid-19.
