Details of Position
Plus Ltd are looking for passionate Online Teachers of English to provide highly effective lessons with particular focus on students communication skills. Teachers will need to be highly active and engaging to be able to conduct great lessons for teens and adult learners.
What we are looking for:
Qualification: Degree and CELTA or equivalent
Subject Knowledge: C2 (Proficiency) Level of English
Location: Home / Any (a strong broadband connection is vital)
Contract Type: Freelance (Consultancy)
Salary: £15.00 per contact hour
Start Dates: October to June (3 terms)
Teaching Hours: 5-20 hours per week between 4 and 8 pm UK time.
Students: Teenager and Adults
Training Provided: We offer extensive training and support using online teaching software and realia
As an online teacher you will
Deliver well-prepared, interesting lessons
Adapt your teaching material to fully engage your learners
Motivate and inspire your students to achieve the best they can
Identify your students strengths and weaknesses and facilitate their spoken skills
Use readily available technology such as virtual white boards and screen-sharing to supplement your teaching
Strive to improve and develop your teaching style
All you need to get started
Must have meticulous time keeping, understanding of basic admin tasks required to teach (planning, preparing, taking registers, etc.)
Previous online lesson delivery (ideally via Zoom)
Reliable and strong broadband speed (20mb/s or above) Please check your Internet speed here: speedtest.net
Suitable PC / laptop with built-in or external webcam- must be i5 intel core 8th gen or better.
Availability to schedule a minimum of 5 hours of teaching per week
You must have a cultural sensitivity and awareness of your learners needs

Minimum qualification of TrinityCertTesol or Cambridge CELTA or equivalent* (B.Ed, PGCE in Primary, Secondary English/MFL).
*Courses must be externally validated, contain at least six hours teaching practice and a minimum of 100 hours of ELT/TESOL input. Applicants who have completed 100% online courses will not be considered.
Experience and Skills
Previous teaching experience is required although we do welcome applications from newly qualified teachers
Native speaker level of proficiency in English

Excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills can work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
