We are looking to recruit a teacher of English as a foreign language to children aged 6-11, with experience also of working with teens and adults. Previous teaching abroad and preparation of Cambridge YLE an advantage. Details of Position
Full time, 23 contact hours per week, Monday to Saturday, afternoons and evenings. Annual courses held once or twice a week from September/October to May/June. Maximum class size () Our teaching aims are to help our learners to develop mastery of practical language skills in an environment sensitive to their personal growth and to provide them with officially recognised certification of language proficiency. Core materials consist of published course books which teachers adapt to meet their students needs. Staff are supported by Directors of Studies for young learners and adults. Regular staff meetings provide continuous professional development. Opportunities to take further teaching qualifications available.
PGCE or Trinity/CELTA YL qualification would be an advantage
Salary and Benefits
Remuneration: 1,450-1,700 Euros gross per calendar month; 13th salary paid in December (pro rata if less than a calendar year has been worked; 14th salary set aside in severance fund, paid at end of employment. Full social security cover included. Furnished accommodation provided at subsidised rent. 4 weeks holiday per year, plus Italian national holidays. Start date: 2nd September for induction and training.
