About the role
You'll be part of a British Council team training up primary school teachers as master trainers across Bangladesh, to help improve both their teaching and English language skills. This will involve planning and English competency and classroom methodology courses, assessing teacher performance in the classroom and giving feedback to help them improve. Using your skills, you'll help to create a group of 1,800 master trainers. They will then go on to advise and support teachers across Bangladesh.
Over the course of your 13-month contract, you'll work with one other British Council teacher trainer at a Primary Teachers Training Institute in Bangladesh. This begins with a thorough, three-week induction programme including basic Bengali language training. Then you'll work a five-day week, with five contact hours a day, in three 14-week blocks.
