The post holder will be expected to:
Teaching and Learning
Manage student learning through effective teaching in accordance with the Colleges schemes of work and policies.
Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and ensure all students participate;
Prepare and set tests, examination papers and exercise;
Mark and provide appropriate feedback on oral and written work;
Devise, write and produce new materials if required;
Plan and prepare EA

Hours: Part Time (0.7) with potential for additional hours to be available for the successful candidate

We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of EAL at Mount St Marys College to work with students to improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills and enable them to access the wider curriculum and prepare for ESOL examinations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for securing positive learning outcomes for EAL students through strong classroom management skills and promoting a student centred learning environment, which encourages development and progression. The Teacher of EAL will use a variety of vibrant and engaging learning activities and methods to ensure the needs of individual student are met alongside curricular objectives.
This is a great opportunity for the right individual to be part of a vibrant co-educational boarding and day school in the Jesuit tradition, catering for the needs of children aged 11 -18 from all denominations in a truly ecumenical and happy environment. Experience of teaching EAL ideally within UK independent schools, preparing students for Cambridge ESOL exams/IELTS
