Job Summary

Qualified and enthusiastic EFL teachers required to teach children in Wimbledon, London. Small multinational classes, students aged 5 - 16.
We need a few more teachers to start soon! Contract lengths of 2 - 8 weeks.

Details of Position

We are looking for a few more qualified and enthusiastic EFL teachers to work at our summer school in Wimbledon. We are a small well established school teaching English to young students aged 5 - 16 years. Classes are small (10 or under) and multinational. This summer the course runs from 24th June to 17th August. Contract lengths vary from 2 - 8 weeks.
Experience in teaching at summer schools and with young learners is desirable.
All positions are non-residential and we are unable to arrange accommodation for teachers. Teachers must live within easy commuting distance to the school.
The Summer School of English is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children under the age of 18.
All successful applicants will be expected to apply for a DBS check at the expense of the Summer School of English.

Qualifications

Essential:
First degree, CELTA or Trinity Cert. TESOL, CETYL, PGCE (primary education, English or MFL) or recognised equivalent.
Qualifications obtained through distance learning, one day or week courses are NOT acceptable.
Applicants must hold valid work permit or British/EU passport.
Desirable:
Experience in teaching children
Summer school experience
Experience/qualifications in sports, art, music or drama
First Aid

Salary and Benefits

Hourly teaching rates range from £17.00 - £25.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. Excursions are paid in addition to this on a pro-rata basis. There are 19 hours of teaching per week plus outings.
