Details of Position
The Young Learner Co-ordinator is responsible for overseeing the delivery of young learner programmes in the school covering all ages from 3-17 (references to young learners should be understood to include this full range), and is the first line of enquiry for teachers who need assistance with these classes. In particular, the YLC is required to:
-Observe and give constructive feedback to young learner teachers (and other teachers as required).
-Provide training sessions on teaching young learners.
-Provide young learner induction for new teachers.
-Provide other support, assistance and motivation to young learner teachers as required.
-To contribute to the development of young learner procedures, programmes and resources.
-Teach up to 80 academic hours of young learner classes (or general English/Exam preparation) as required.
-Co-ordinate completion and sending out of young learner reports (twice per year December and April).
-To oversee preparation and delivery of summer YL programmes (Windsorland).
-To organise events in the school for seasonal holidays e.g. Halloween, Christmas, Easter, etc.
-Conduct professional development meetings with young learner teachers.
-Assist with placement testing of young learners (and other students as required).
-Assist Director of Studies with interviewing new teachers as required.
-Maintain and observe Windsor standards and procedures at all times.
-Other projects and responsibilities as reasonably required.
-Nationality of UK, IRE, USA, CAN, AUS, NZ or SA (visa requirement)
-CELTA or equivalent (essential) equivalent qualifications include at least 120 hours of input and 6 hours of assessed teaching practice with Delta-level (or equivalent) tutors.
-Delta or equivalent (desirable).
-Young learner certificate (desirable) e.g. CELTA YL extension, CELT-P, CELT-S, TYLEC, Nile Young Learner Certificate.
-Minimum of 3 years experience (post-CELTA) of teaching young learners aged from 3-17 years in a private language school or similar setting (essential).
-Knowledge of, and experience of preparing students for, YL examinations e.g. Cambridge Starters, Movers, Flyers (desirable).
-Experience of observing teachers and providing feedback (desirable).
-Experience of running training sessions for teachers (desirable).
-Demonstrable suitability for a position of responsibility (essential).
-Proficient (C2) user of English (IELTS 8.5+/CPE) (essential).

- Monthly salary starting from 90 000 up to 100 000 rubles net.
