2 or 3 week Contracts starting Friday 5th or 12th July - Saturday 27th July, with a limited number of one week extensions to Sat 3rd August 2019.
24 hours of teaching a week over 4 days plus one mid-week, full day excursion.
No residential, activity or airport duties. Weekends off (Fri evening - Sun afternoon)

12 Hours per week English Skills
Classes are focused on a weekly academic theme and supported by the LINES Syllabus for students to gain confidence in all aspects of English language usage.
6 Hours per week English in Action Workshops
Assisting students to develop their language skills through task-based learning in a fun and creative environment. Workshops include Film Production, Fashion & Design, Best of the UK, Drama, Health & Fitness, Business English and Exam Preparation.
6 Hours per week LINES Elite OR LINES Hands-On English
LINES Elite is a project-based programme for students to gain confidence in the skills needed for them to succeed in todays globalised world. You will guide and support students to encourage their creativity, critical thinking and problem solving abilities with opportunities for them to demonstrate new skills acquired through a series of tasks and projects.
LINES Elite subjects are as follows:
Entrepreneurship (the skills needed to run a business)
Management Skills (the skills needed to be an effective leader)
Capitalising your Capabilities (the skills needed to apply to University, for a Job or.)
Teachers for LINES Elite MUST have relevant experience teaching these (or related) business focused subject areas
LINES Hands-On are fun, task-based, creative sessions where the emphasis is on speaking real-world, practical English in a range of contexts including using social media, world travel, the environment and the world of celebrity.
We have teaching opportunities available for the following age groups:
Kids: 7 10 years old (Downe House only and separate weekly timetable)
Teens: 11-12 years old (Downe House), 10-12 years old (Queenswood)
Juniors: 13-15 years old
Seniors: 16-18 years old
There is a 2 day, paid Staff Academic Induction (Friday 5th Saturday 6th July)
You are required to attend all meetings including daily Teachers Briefing and at least one CPD session
You are responsible for completing all administrative tasks e.g. lesson plans, weekly student reports, class registers, end of school certificates
You will receive at least one formal lesson observation (by the DoS) with feedback given
You are required to attend the Friday evening student Stage & Screen Show
You will be take part in running placement tests for new arrivals on Sunday afternoons
You will eat lunch and dinner with students in the Dining Hall at an allocated table

We do not accept online TEFL certificates without any observed teaching practice
If English is not your mother tongue, you MUST be a proficient user (CEFR C1/C2 level) and be able to clearly and actively model correct use of the English language.
Previous summer school/international school teaching experience.
The confidence to be able to adapt lessons and teaching style to meet changing individual and group needs, as we have weekly new student enrolments.
Previous experience of working with young learners and teenagers, including a good understanding of learning needs and how to engage and inspire them to learn and achieve their potential.

Salary and Benefits
Up to £100 per week bonus to teach on the LINES Elite Programme
A 2 day, paid Staff Induction (5th - 6th July)
Accommodation (single room, shared bathroom) and all meals provided
Professional support from returning Directors of Studies at both schools

Appropriate suitability checks (DBS or Police Check or equivalent) will need to be completed and verified before we can confirm your appointment and issue your contract of employment.
You will also be required to complete an online basic Safeguarding course before receiving your contract details will be given at interview.
You will already have the right to work in the UK. LINES will not sponsor or assist with work permits or visas.
