Job Summary

Bell is recruiting a Welfare and Operations Manager to oversee the welfare responsibilities of students for Bell Young Learner Centres. Working in the Young Learner team at the Bell Head Office in Cambridge, you will act as the Designated Safeguarding Officer for Bell Young Learners and provide welfare and safeguarding advice to all areas including the academic and activity programmes.

Bell is recruiting a Welfare and Operations Manager to oversee the welfare responsibilities of students for Bell Young Learner Centres. Working in the Young Learner team at the Bell Head Office in Cambridge, you will act as the Designated Safeguarding Officer for Bell Young Learners and provide welfare and safeguarding advice to all areas including the academic and activity programmes.


Main Responsibilities:

Act as Designated Safeguarding Officer for Bell Young Learners

Provide welfare/safeguarding advice to all areas including academic and activity programmes

Development and provision of welfare aspects on programmes including welfare/safeguarding materials

Manage sourcing, storage, deployment and mobilisation of all programme and head office resources

Budgetary and financial efficiency and responsibility for resourcing

Managing & developing Bell Young Learner academies including negotiating contracts

Site visits to support, monitor, evaluate, quality control, review and development of programmes

Monitor welfare & operation provisions on all programmes, carrying out observations and provide feedback

Represent the department and Bell at internal and external meetings and conferences

Develop and deliver training for programme staff

Liaise with the Sales and Marketing Department regarding welfare provision and safeguarding

Review of student and staff feedback and recommendations for improvements and developments

Interview programme staff


Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have gained experience working within the EFL Young Learner sector, preferably within a welfare role. Experience gained within education, and/or a counselling role will be highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, along with excellent organisational skills and strong MS Excel skills.

Salary and Benefits

£21,000 - £23,500 per annum
