Details of Position
The position of EFL Teacher will play a key role in the running of the academic programme at Inspire Summer. He / she will be enthusiastic, passionate and enjoy working with children and teenagers.
You will be confident in front of groups, have a happy and positive disposition and will understand the demands of working in a busy summer school environment. You will be willing to go the extra mile to show a commitment to making Inspire the very best summer school experience.
Self-motivated and driven.
Attention to detail and passion for getting things right.
Excellent classroom management.
Excellent spoken and written English.
Take a genuine interest in the students needs in all areas of the course.
Foster a warm, caring, responsible and professional standard of interaction with the students.
Plan relevant, structured, well-paced and enjoyable lessons (following the Inspire syllabus)
To teach in an inspirational and passionate way.
To undertake all admin required.
To produce regular lesson plans for the Course Leader to check and log for support and to ensure academic quality.
Attend regular department and course meetings.
Actively participate as part of the team that ensures that the principles and objectives of Inspire Summer are met.
Make contact and communicate with all students on the course, to ensure that they have all settled in, are participating in the course and check they are happy and not homesick.
Supervise and take responsibility for groups of students during the afternoon, evening and weekend activities as directed by the management team.
Ensure the safety and welfare of students you are responsible for at all times.
Conscientiously carry out a significant number of residential and pastoral duties which will include meal time, bed time and break time supervision, security and student supervision while in their houses.
Educated to Degree level.
CELTA or equivalent teaching qualification.
Details: Dates: 18th July - 31st July
Location: Bradfield College, Reading, RG7 6AU.
Pay: £450 per week including holiday pay. Full board provided.
