If so, we'd love to hear from you. Mackenzie School of English is now recruiting for hourly-paid non-residential teaching positions to start immediately.

Details of Position

Based in Edinburgh and British Council accredited, we run a successful year-round school and a well-established residential summer centre. Working with Mackenzie School of English will not only give you invaluable experience working with Young Learners and Adults, but also the opportunity to challenge yourself and be part of a dynamic team. You will be expected to prepare and teach high-quality, engaging and fun Task-Based Learning lessons as part of the academic programme. We offer full training and support both before and during your employment.

Qualifications

All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. We are not able to sponsor work permit visa applications.
Essential Criteria:
CELTA/Trinity Cert TESOL
A first degree
English native-level proficiency
Punctual and organized
Responsible approach to working with juniors
Clear communication skills with the ability to plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons

Desirable Criteria:
Local knowledge.
Experience of working with young people.
Experience of working in a similar role or industry.
Flexibility of working hours.
Level 1 Safeguarding.
Ability to adapt to change and take control in situations.
Dynamic can do approach to work.
Excellent people and communication skills and must work well as part of a team.
Excellent organisational skills.
Must be reliable and have excellent timekeeping.

Salary and Benefits

£13 per hour
