Job Summary

Residential Director of Studies & non-residential or residential teachers required in summer schools for young learners in various locations across the UK and Ireland. Currently seeking teachers in Limerick, Edinburgh and Dover for 4 and 2-week contracts commencing in early and middle of July 2018.

Details of Position

Go Languages Worldwide is looking for enthusiastic, flexible and creative teachers to teach young learners (11 17 years old) in a highly-energised, and dynamic school. Our aim is to provide students with a safe, secure and fun environment for learning.

We are looking for candidates who work well in a team, are friendly, approachable and motivated. Previous experience in a summer school is desirable. In return we offer a friendly working environment, and continuous support from our management team.

Go Languages is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Successful candidates will be required to undergo a DBS (formerly CRB) check and sign a Declaration of Suitability to Work with Children. Interviews are face-to-face.
Proof of identity and qualifications will be required at the interview. References will be followed up. A reference request will ask specifically whether there is any reason the candidate should not be employed with persons under 18. Qualifications for DOS

Degree, higher qualification or equivalent (any discipline)
Flexibility & a positive can do attitude
Minimum 1 years' EFL teaching experience ideally with international young learners/teens
Excellent administrative, IT, organisational and record keeping skills
Proven team leadership abilities and a genuine interest in leading, motivating and managing a diverse team of teachers to deliver a challenging, stimulating and varied academic programme
Proven inter-personal and customer care skills

Experience of Project Based/Task Based learning
Cambridge DELTA, MA in Linguistics/TESOL (incl. 5 hours supervised teaching practice)
Proven inter-personal and customer care skills
Residential experience
First Aid Qualification

Qualifications for teachers:

British Council recognised teaching qualification, at least TEFLI (CELTA or equivalent)
Good team player

STYLE/CELTYL/ DELTA or equivalent
Experience of teaching young learners
Summer school experience

Salary and Benefits

Compensation for DOS:
From £525 per week plus full board and accommodation
£10 increment for returning staff

Compensation for teachers:
Per week:
Basic Residential teacher- £360
Basic Non-residential teacher- £400
£10 increment for 1 year experience, maximum 3 years.
£30 for DELTA qualified teachers.
£10 for returning staff.
