KEY ROLES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
To deal with telephone calls and face to face enquiries.
To organise and participate in any training that is necessary for the effective implementation of the admissions processes
To co-ordinate and maintain an efficient admissions database.
To arrange and provide student information / statistical information, as requested, in conjunction with other departments of the college.
To undertake any clerical duties required to maintain a high-quality Admissions process as guided by the Senior Admissions Officer/Manager
To ensure that the post holder and the admissions team process applications promptly, check qualification and authenticity of results by meeting high quality customer service standards for all applicants.
To make decisions on applications in accordance with our strict admissions policy and with reference to the admissions criteria of relevant awarding bodies
To liaise with the team members over student interview schedules to ensure applicants can be interviewed and made an offer of a place within agreed timescales, based on various processing stages.
To coordinate various language assessment tests for applicants whose first language is not English.
To work proactively with the Senior Admissions Officer/Manager to facilitate customer communication strategies.
To update and maintain the service standards for the Admissions process and to engage with all Quality monitoring processes
Salary and Benefits
HOURS OF WORK
This is a permanent contract based on 40 hours work per week.
09.00 am - 06.00pm (Monday-Friday) (Saturday: 10.00 am to 05.00 pm during the peak admissions time)
All newly appointed staff must serve a 6-month probationary period
