Details of Position
Lesson planning with the programs and syllabuses provided by the school.
Teaching with a dynamic, blended and productive approach thus focusing on writing and speaking skills.
Creating quizzes and exams during the evaluation period.
Following the assessment scheme provided in the program.
Grading and supplying clear feedback to students.
Able to work as a team in the English Department with other English colleagues.
Attending weekly meetings and providing dynamic ideas to the team.
Recording and reporting student behavior and academic development.
Participating in school activities when authorized by the institution.
Ensuring high standards of professional practice and teaching strategies.
TYPICAL TASKS & ACTIVITIES
Managing groups of 20-25 students for 50-minute classes.
Lecturing English classes by following the objectives required by the program.
Preparing students for evaluation periods, giving feedback and responding to doubts.
Supervising students during class activities thus assessing their abilities.
Accessible to the use of Google for schools: Classroom.
Planning lessons ahead of class time adopting student preferences.
Applying dynamic activities focusing on the productive skills: speaking and writing.
Facilitate information through a cooperative learning approach.
A teaching qualification in relation to the field: CELTA, ESL, ESOL, TEFL or a relatively high TOEFL score.
A Bachelor's Degree
1-5 years experience teaching English as a foreign language.
A qualification related to the job description.
An engaging personality, good classroom management skills, and knowledge of subject matter.
Strong rapport with students, organizational skills, work effectively in groups, and motivate students,
Passionate towards teaching, basic IT abilities, enthusiastic and interpersonal.
Salary and Benefits
Range between 18,000 and 25,000 MXN Monthly plus benefits.
The employee is given an allowance credit card. This card will generate money every month in order to buy supplies in a local supermarket, drugstore, gas station etc. This will appear on the monthly invoice.
Christmas Bonus (35 paid days)
Aside from the monthly wage, the employee will also have an extra Christmas bonus. This bonus is the equivalent to 35 work days. This will appear on the monthly invoice.
For all Easter, summer and Christmas holidays, the employee will be paid a normal monthly salary. Including bank holidays, festive occasions or sick days.
Access to UPAEP Loans
For full-time workers, UPAEP will offer two types of loans: For personal interests and for purchasing a vehicle. This money is then deducted from the employee's monthly paycheck. There is also a minor interest rate. All these loans are accessed through your UPAEP platform.
UPAEP offers a pension scheme for later retirement. This will appear on the monthly invoice.
Bonuses for completing job tasks (BODE)
Twice a year, the employee will have a set of tasks to complete throughout the year. If completed in the set timeframe, the employee will receive a bonus for those months. (Each bonus is equivalent to 20 working days, there are 2 per year).
IMMS (public system)
50% UPAEP pays
The employee will receive a public health coverage from the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMMS). However, the employee can also opt for a more private health care, where the University will help to pay half of the expenses.
Personal (Caja de Ahorro)
UPAEP (Fondo de Ahorro)
UPAEP are partners with a financing system (ODESSA) which can be accessed through an online platform. From this platform, the employee can take control of their own financial movements. Furthermore, UPAEP also takes a percentage out of your monthly wage (6% of the monthly income), double the amount taken and give it you back in a lump sum of money twice a year as another bonus paycheck.
By working at a UPAEP, you can access to personal scholarships to study masters and Ph.D., and also you are supported to teach in others systems depending on your academic curriculum.
6 weeks. (2 during summer, 2 in Christmas and 2 during spring)
ABOUT THE VISA:
The visa that UPAEP helps to get is the: Working Visa. It lasts 1 year. (The contract would be at least for 1 year also).
UPAEP offers help in the procedure and the documents process. The visa has a price to be paid, depends on the place where is issued and that cost should be paid by the Teacher.
The Visa procedure lasts between one and two months, depending on the country where is issued. The process starts when the teacher accepts formally the proposal.
UPAEP is not responsible for the Visas denial. As a government process, we collaborate with our authorities in the process, but each country has their own rules and procedures that doesn't belong to UPAEP.
