Job Summary

My English School in Italy is currently looking for a Director of Studies for our Corporate Center in Milan, near the Duomo.
The Corporate Director of Studies, who will be responsible for teaching and learning in companies using the My English School method, works together with our Corporate Director and team.
We are ideally looking for candidates who already live in Milan or the Milan-area, or who have a strong connection to the city.

Details of Position

My English School in Italy is currently looking for a Director of Studies for our Corporate Center in Milan, near the Duomo.
The Corporate Director of Studies, who will be responsible for teaching and learning in companies using the My English School method, works together with our Corporate Director and team and has the following responsibilities:
- Hiring and training new in-company teachers
- Managing the in-company timetable and cancellations
- Monitoring and improving the quality of teaching & learning in-company
- Providing reports and feedback to companies
- Promoting good company course practice in Myes on a national level
- Planning courses ad hoc for specific companies and developing the in-company materials available to Myes
The right candidate will have experience and interest in company courses and business English, be a native speaker or C2 level English-speaker, be able to work autonomously and manage a variety of projects at the same time, organising their work and delegating as needed. A high standard in terms of teaching and learning quality, the ability to train others and a positive, motivational attitude to work are essential for this role.
Start Date: June/July 2018
Full training for the role is provided.

Qualifications

The ideal DoS candidate must have a TEFL/CELTA or equivalent and at least 3 years of teaching experience. He or she will be a leader, a trainer and a manager. We are looking for strong organisational skills, a high level of teaching and the ability to pass ideas to others. Ideally, our candidate should have experience in the communicative method, experience in management of some kind and experience of teaching business English.
We are ideally looking for candidates who already live in Milan or the Milan-area, or who have a strong connection to the city.

Salary and Benefits

This is a level 8 contract, for managers in Italy. We offer a competitive salary and bonus scheme related to targets. The full Italian contract includes sick pay, holidays, health insurance, pension and other benefits.
