Job Summary

We run summer schools across the UK, teaching students aged 10-17. Promoting student development in a safe, intercultural and enjoyable environment.
Accredited by the British Council, we are looking for enthusiastic, focused EFL teachers to join our teams in Bournemouth, Exeter, Teignmouth and Winchester.
Working in a cooperative, friendly atmosphere you will receive support and guidance on how to deliver EFL instruction, using our syllabus and materials, to a range of different ability levels

Details of Position

Europa School of English is a professional and friendly language school based in Bournemouth with centres across the UK.
We are looking for EFL Teachers to join our summer teams. We would especially like to hear from teachers experienced in delivering courses to young learners aged between 10-17.
Our summer centres 2018:
Europa School of English, Bournemouth, BH1 3PA
Exeter University, Stocker Rd, Exeter, EX4 4QB
Trinity School, Buckeridge Road, Teignmouth, TQ14 8LY

University of Winchester, Sparkford Road, Winchester, SO22 4NR

We are a supportive team of teachers and other staff members, working in a positive, friendly and co-operative atmosphere.

Candidates should have CELTA or CertTESOL or equivalent
A first degree or equivalent, i.e. level H FHEQ (Level 6 Qualifications and Credit Framework)
DBS check - must be registered on the DBS update service or obtain one prior to starting
Commitment to professional development
Experience a plus, but not a must
Native or native level English speaker
Eligible to live and work in the UK

Any gaps in your CV will need to be explained
Proof of identity and qualifications will be required
References will be followed up
Reference requests will ask specifically if there is any reason why you should not be allowed to work with persons under 18
You will be required to sign a declaration that you are not unfit to work with students under 18
Appropriate DBS clearance will be required prior to confirmation of your appointment, and Europa School can assist with obtaining this.
Key duties:
Prepare & deliver lessons following the Europa School syllabus
Make every effort to create a positive learning environment to encourage student participation
Employ teaching techniques appropriate to the level and needs of each student
Effectively manage students and their behaviour in the classroom
Arrive in good time for lessons to ensure all materials and equipment are in place before lessons start
Maintain class registers and work records on a daily basis

Salary and Benefits

Job Type: Contract
Salary: up to £15 gross per hour
Contracts start at a minimum of 11.5 hours per week, with the opportunity to increase to 26.25 hours as you choose.
Morning and afternoon teaching available
