Find Education is a partnership between Find Digs a leading student accommodation and summer camp provider and Angle Education a British Council and ABLS accredited language school who are English UK members.
We are currently recruiting for the following centres:
London,Tooting: 13 to 17 year old students, from June 27th to August 21st
London, Wembley: 13 to 17 year old students, from July 4th to August 1st
London,Queen Mary University: 13 to 17 year old students, from June 26th to August 1st
London, Lewisham: 13 to 17 year old students, from July 2nd to August 13th
Oxford, Ruskin College: 13 to 17 year old students, from July 2nd to August 13th
Ipswich, Royal Hospital School: 11 to 17 year old students, from July 2nd to July 30th
Bristol, Westonbirt School: 8 to 17 year old students, from July 8th to August 12th
Edinburgh, St Thomas of Aquin's School: 12 to 17 year old students, from July 10th to August 8th
(Dates may be subject to small changes)
Duties in all locations will include teaching: a minimum of 15 hours per week plus possible supervision of some afternoon education trips and weekend excursions. Residential teachers will teach either 30 hours per week or 15 hours plus supervision of activities and weekend excursions. The average age of our students is 11-17 so experience with teaching teenagers is desirable. Working times vary depending on location but most positions are 6 days a week. Residential and non-residential positions are available.
The Centre Manager must have previous experience of running a residential junior centre and will be responsible for managing the EFL excursion and activity programme. Responsibilities include running accommodation services, health and safety, transport, risk management, site liaison with boarding school staff and managing residential duties rota together with the Director of Studies. Working times vary depending on location but most positions are 6 days a week.
The Director of Studies roles involves management and delivery of the EFL programme. The Director of Studies will manage the teaching team,(teaching where needed) and maintain high standards of pastoral/welfare care. Working times vary depending on location but positions are 6 days a week.
Duties include running various activities for students including half and full day excursions, sports, evening entertainment and ensuring the welfare of students is maintained at all times. Working times vary depending on location but most positions are 6 days a week.
References will be followed up and reference requests will ask specifically whether there is any reason why you should not be employed in a situation where you will have a responsibility of care for and/or substantial access to under-18s.
An enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check will be made prior to confirmation of appointment. All successful candidates will also need to attend an induction and complete Level 1 Safeguarding and Prevent Duty training. Where appropriate foreign police checks will be required.
Proof of identity and all relevant qualifications will be required and copies of originals will be taken of these documents at your interview.
Director of Studies should be DELTA qualified or equivalent.
Centre Managers & Activity Leaders - Ideal candidate will have previous residential summer camp experience.
Full right to work in the UK.
Experience in teaching young learners is desirable.
Experience in football coaching and leading other sporting or dancing/singing activities useful.
Previous training in first aid desirable.
Salary and Benefits
Summer teaching positions from £15.00 to £18.00 per hour.
Residential positions start from £315.00 to £380.00 per week plus full board residential accommodation.
Director of Studies
Salary dependent on location and experience.
Non Residential from £500 to £650 p/w
Residential from £450 to £600 p/w plus full board residential accommodation.
All positions are residential and salary dependent on location and experience.
Salary from £450 to £600 p/w plus full board residential accommodation.
Salary dependent on location and experience.
Residential from £225 to £300 p/w plus full board residential accommodation.
All salaries include statutory holiday pay (12.07%). ur.
