Job Summary

Oxford International are looking to recruit qualified and passionate EFL Teachers to deliver our excellent academic programme on our residential language school programmes during the Easter and/or summer of 2018 at one of our centres across the UK.

As an EFL Teacher, you are paramount to the success of our programmes. By delivering engaging, fun and inclusive lessons and workshops, you will deliver an unforgettable classroom experience.

This is a great opportunity to take your first steps into teaching with your newly earned CELTA/Trinity TESOL qualification or to advance an already established teaching CV in a new and exciting environment.

A degree and CELTA/Trinity TESOL qualification are a must.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Organise student testing, assessment, placement and induction.
Implement and maintain academic procedures and administration; prepare timetables ensuring teachers are allocated to classes and levels appropriately.
Be proactive in offering support to teachers before it is requested
Hold regular staff meetings.
Effectively manage materials and resources.
Deal with student enquiries and emergencies. Induct teaching staff and provide ongoing professional development for Teachers
Ensure academic management at the Centre meets the standards set by the Accreditation UK.
Organise Group Leader meetings and workshops on request.
Support the Centre Manager and other managers at the centre in the overall management of the centre.
Attend the Senior Staff Training Weekend and other centre preparation as required.
Take part in all Health and Safety related training.
Read and understand the DoS Handbook, Staff Handbook and Welfare Manual.
Assist with induction, meeting and greeting of new student arrivals.
As an EFL Teacher, you will work at one of the following centres on a residential basis (accommodation and meals are provided for you at no cost to yourself).

Start Date Details
Our Easter programme will run from 25th March - 11th April. The summer programme will be run from 27th June - 13th August (certain venues may vary). We are looking for members of staff to work the Easter AND/OR summer period - you do not have to work both periods!
OIEG is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. As part of our Safer
Recruitment policy you will be asked to explain any gaps in your work and education history. You
will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS Disclosure or overseas equivalent if you are based
outside of the UK. You will need to provide the details of at least 2 referees, who will be asked
specifically if they have any concerns about your suitability to work with children. Evidence of
entitlement to work in the UK will be required at interview.


You need to be:
Eligible to work in the UK
You should have:
Ability to use different strategies for effective classroom management & commitment to student-centred learning.
Ability to develop and adapt materials to suit students needs.
Willingness to use a variety of teaching strategies and methods.
Commitment to the welfare of students.
Commitment to fostering supportive and encouraging learning environment in which teacher manages cultural differences.
Flexibility, adaptability and ability to cope with changing priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You must:
Be a native English speaker or have a near native level of English.
Have either a degree, a CELTA, Trinity TESOL and / or QTS in English or a Modern Foreign Language.
Other TEFL qualifications may be accepted if they have been validated by an external body and include a minimum of 6 hours observed practice.
Hold a DBS this can be provided by the company (contact for further details)
It would be great if you have:
CELYL or YL extension
Experience of working on a junior residential programme

Salary and Benefits

Easter Pay
£345 per week plus acquired 12.07% holiday pay (£41.64) with full free boarding.
Summer Pay
£355 per week plus acquired 12.07% holiday pay (£42.85) with full free boarding.
