Details of Position
For more than 30 years we have been working in the field of English language teaching, from our offices in London and Rome, with our own carefully selected staff and native level English speakers with CELTA experience in teaching English language to foreign students. With great professionalism and passion, we offer our customers all our experience for the consolidation of language skills, already acquired and the development of new skills and serious language training.
In all of our centres in the UK and Ireland, we are accredited organisation to conduct Trinity College London GESE exams, the prestigious internationally recognised certificate.
Summer positions are fun, challenging and very rewarding. We are then looking for enthusiastic, energetic and outgoing staff that are keen to make a decisive contribution to the success of the summer school programme.
We are presently recruiting EFL teachers willing to reside on campus (residential teachers) and local teachers living nearby the campus (non residential teachers) with lively personalities and lots of energy to teach overseas students aged between 11 and 18 years old for the following positions:
EFL Head Teachers (residential)
EFL Teachers (residential)
EFL Local Teacher (non residential)
Activity Leaders (residential)
Required for July or August (or both)
(a) (Non residential staff) a teaching contract of 20 morning teaching hours per week in addition to 18 hours per week of extracurricular work spread over afternoon from 2 pm to 5 pm (sports and cultural activities) and 12 hours per week of extracurricular work spread over the evening from 9 pm to 11 pm . For Non-Residential staff lunch is provided (the payment is adequate to the hours worked); or (b) (Residential staff) a teaching plus, consisting of 20 morning teaching hours, in addition to 18 hours per week of extracurricular work spread over afternoon from 2 pm to 5 pm (sports and cultural activities) and 12 hours per week of extracurricular work spread over the evening from 9 pm to 11 pm. For residential staff Full Board accommodation is supplied.
All EFL teachers will be native speakers or equivalent C2/CPE/IELTS 8 Level qualified to ACELS or British Council (BC) standards; thus they will hold a primary degree or equivalent HETAC Level 7 or NQF Level 6/FHEQ Level H in addition to an ACELS or BC recognised TEFL certificate (CELT/CELTA/Trinity CErt TESOL).
ESI provides full academic support for teachers with a dedicated syllabus including supplementary materials. In addition to this, a full range of supplementary resource materials will be provided. Teachers have access to an online folder containing syllabus, testing procedures and pre-excursion lessons.
Previous experience working in a Summer School is desirable.
Minimum of one year's teaching experience including young learners
Experience in preparing for Trinity College London GESE exams is a plus
Activiy Leaders to have had some previous experience working in a Summer School.
All staff are required to attend an induction training day.
All teachers must have read and understood the ESI Induction and Training Manual and be conversant with our policies for the welfare and protection of children. At all times whilst on duty, you are responsible for the care, welfare and safety of students whilst ensuring they are following school rules.
