PGL have a fantastic opportunity for EFL Director of Studies based at Bawdsey Manor, Suffolk. For the right candidates we might also have roles based at our other activity centres across the UK.

Details of Position

PGL, founded in 1957, operates at 24 outdoor activity centres across the UK, France and Spain. We are the UKs leading provider of residential activity holidays and educational courses for young people.
We have an opportunity for an EFL Director of Studies to join the team at our newest UK activity centre, Bawdsey Manor. Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty near Woodbridge on the Deben estuary, there are over 140 acres of grounds to explore at Bawdsey Manor, including a lovely beach with panoramic views along the coastline. It is a fantastic place to work, with a fun and friendly work environment.
PGL delivers a fantastic EFL programme to our inbound guests travelling to PGLs UK centres from Europe, Asia and various long haul destinations. Guests enjoy a mix of classroom based EFL sessions and off-site excursions.
As a PGL Director of Studies you will oversee the implementation and smooth running of the academic programme. To ensure our guests have the best experience, you will manage the teaching team to deliver high quality language classes, teaching wherever necessary, and be the liaison for all Group Leaders' inquiries about the course content.


Enthusiastic fluent English speakers holding a Cambridge DELTA/ Trinity Diploma TESOL/ TEFL Q or equivalent.
Previous experience of delivering in a classroom style setting.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
The ability to deliver high levels of customer service.
Successful applicants are required to undergo an enhanced DBS disclosure, which PGL will pay for. You need to possess the legal right to live and work in the UK to be considered for employment with PGL. Salary and Benefits

This role is a residential position, with accommodation onsite at our activity centre. We offer a competitive wage of £610 a week, with an accommodation offset of £43. You'll receive 3 meals a day free of charge, access to training and development opportunities and a free staff uniform. This role is offered as a fixed term contracts starting on April 10th.
