Details of Position

British Council Morocco is recruiting a professional and experienced Senior teacher young learner for its Rabat Centre for August 2018.
In Rabat, YL teaching is delivered in an off-site school in the suburb of Soussi and teaching for adults and corporates in shared space on 4th floor of the building in the Centre Ville where we have our back office.
The Rabat and Casablanca centres have very similar volumes (12000 to 13000 class hours) and approx. 1500 SS per term, 900/1000 YLs in each Centre - 3 terms currently and 2/3 Summer Schools. The teaching teams (approx 25 teachers per Centre) are an interesting mix of nationalities and experience. Each Centre is supported by a DTCM, 2 Senior Teachers (Adults/Corporate and Young Learners), and L&D co-ordinator, a Registrar and CS lead and TC operations officer.

Essential Requirements:
1st Degree
DELTA or Trinity Diploma in TESOL/Young Learners accredited by the QCA at level 6/7 of the National Qualifications Framework.* Plus 3 to 4 yrs relevant experience.
MAs in TESOL or related subjects may be considered diploma-level equivalent provided that they meet the required validation, accreditation, teaching practice and input criteria
Sector Expertise in Young Learner Programme Teaching and Management.
Extensive knowledge of TEYL through substantial work experience in the field and relevant YL qualification*.
Clear evidence of experience of safe planning, organisation and delivery of YL programmes.
Evidence of continual building of professional TEYL profile through keeping abreast of on-going developments in the field.
*(+ 3 to 4 years relevant experience post professional YL qualification).

Desirable Requirements:
UK based B.Ed/PGCE Primary, B.Ed/PGCE Secondary (+ QTS in case of PGCE) - any subject with required 3/4 years TESOL experience post qualification
Operational French or Arabic
