Job Summary

EFL Teacher: responsible for the EFL provision to all assigned classes and activities. Content and delivery of lessons should be in accordance with overall course aims and British Council guidelines. Teaching should be balanced, varied and relevant in terms of language acquisition and student motivation. In addition to classroom teaching, teachers will lead/accompany excursions on Saturdays or Sundays each week and, if resident in Our World accommodation, have boarding house responsibilities.

Details of Position

Our World English Schools has been running high-quality residential summer courses for juniors since 1989. Our flagship center is London's prestigious Dulwich College, our other centres are Caterham School in Surrey and Wycombe Abbey in Buckinghamshire. Courses are open to native and international students aged 8-17. The courses combine EFL in small classes (average 12) with cookery, vlogging, creative writing, art, journalism, craft. We also have specialist courses such as IELTS, Soccer, Tennis and Theatre and Dance; all courses include a full programme of sports, social activities and excursions.
Contracts are offered for 3-5 weeks between 9th July and 13th August 2018. All staff are recruited subject to satisfactory references, and applicants who do not already hold a current DBS disclosure should be aware that this will be sought before they start work for Our World. Centre Manager: Previous experience in managing a summer camp, university degree + CELTA/Trinity Cert. TESOL or PGCE desirable
Academic Manager: Previous experience in academic management (summer camp preferred), university degree + DELTA/Trinity Cert. TESOL Diploma
EFL teacher: university degree + CELTA/Trinity Cert. TESOL.
Activity/Sports leader: experience of working with juniors/teens; experience of sports leadership and events organisation, enthusiasm, energy and flexibility.
First Aid qualification or experience desirable.

Salary and Benefits

Our course fees are at the top end of the market and staff are rewarded with attractive terms of employment. Courses are residential, with full-board accommodation offered to staff where required.
EFL Teachers £400 + holiday pay (12.07%) per 6 day working week
Salaries for other roles will be disclosed at the interview phase
