Are you an enthusiastic, flexible, can-do person? We are looking for motivated, reliable and qualified team members for New College Groups Summer Schools in York and Salford (Manchester).
We have positions available for teachers, activity leaders and night wardens.
We are currently recruiting for the following centres:
York (Queen Ethelburgas School) 1-29 July (11-17 age range)
Salford University 1 July 12 August (12-17 age range)

Details of Position

Both residential (York - up to 30 hours teaching a week) and non-residential (Salford - up to 30 hours teaching a week) positions are available. You will plan and prepare high quality lessons based on NCG materials, and assist the Director of Studies in testing students on arrival. You will also undertake some residential/supervisory duties. Full time teachers who teach fewer than 30 hours will also be required to participate in the activity programme.
Activity Leaders
The social programme is an integral part of the Summer School experience and should be interesting, fun and stimulating for the students. You will plan, prepare, participate in and lead excursions as well as sports, drama, arts and crafts activities and evening events. As this is a residential post, you will also be required to undertake pastoral duties.
Night Warden
You will be responsible for the welfare and safety of the students from the time they go to bed until the early hours of the morning (typically from 11pm to 4am). Duties include regular inspections of residential areas and ensuring students are adhering to the rules, keeping a log for the period you are on duty and reporting any incidents, assisting with late/early arrivals and departures.
New College Group is accredited by the British Council and ISI.
New College Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and all staff are expected to share this commitment. Therefore, all references will be followed up, gaps in CVs must be explained satisfactorily and appropriate suitability checks will be required prior to appointment.
