Details of Position

We are looking for an enthusiastic, well-organized and flexible EFL teacher to work at the British School in Foggia. Full-time contract (max. 28 hours per week) WITH AN IMMEDIATE START until 31st May 2018. However, we are also happy to consider applicants who can arrive earlier and remain until mid-June 2018.
Opened in 1989, this modern, friendly and professional school in the centre of Foggia offers English language courses to students of all ages and levels. One-to-one or group lessons (maximum size 12 students). We also prepare students for University of Cambridge English Language exams (YLE, KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE). Teaching contract is for a maximum of 28 contact hours a week spread over morning, afternoon and evening classes (variable), Monday to Friday (school closed on Saturday and Sunday). Timetables are a mix of one-to-one and group classes. Teachers have access to our up-to-date resource library and other materials in the teachers room where they can prepare lessons and leave their teaching materials. Wi-Fi connection in the school.
The British School of Foggia is a friendly and supportive school for both teachers and students. Teaching-wise the school gives teachers a wide range of teaching experience with adults, children, teenagers, business English etc. The school offers continuous teacher support throughout the teaching year. Director of Studies is available for both teaching and general advice, and undertakes regular class observations. Possible courses outside of the school in local businesses, schools and organizations.
Accommodation is in a flat 5 minutes walk from the school shared with other teachers. Reasonable monthly rent and bills.
Foggia is a medium-sized city (population of about 156,000) with a growing university. It has a lively pub nightlife in the citys historic centre and various restaurants and pizzerias. Foggia has all the facilities (shops, transport, sports facilities etc..) that you would expect in a city of this size. Travel, eating out and shopping is generally quite cheap. For travelling to and from Britain, the nearest airports are Bari, Pescara, Naples and Rome. Foggia has excellent train and bus connections with both north and south Italy, which teachers in the past have made full use of for weekend and holiday breaks to see Italys most famous attractions (eg, Naples is a 2 hour bus ride and Rome 3 hours by train). Although Foggia is a modern city by Italian standards, it has a picturesque historical centre and there are a number of interesting towns and villages nearby to visit for day trips, as well as being very close to the beautiful Gargano coastline.

Native speaker level of competence.
Degree educated.
CELTA or Trinity TESOL qualified preferred. We will consider applicants who have done an online course (but only online courses with a full class observation module).
Previous experience preferred, however newly-qualified teachers will also be considered.
Knowledge of Cambridge exams would be very useful.

Salary and Benefits

British Contract with N.I. contributions paid from January 2018 to May 2018.
Basic salary of 1,100.00 Euro monthly (after tax).
Paid Holidays: Easter, Italian National Holidays.
