- Spain, Pontevedra
- The English Studio
- Experience: 2 YEARS
- Positions: 2
Details of Position
We are committed to providing adequate support and a relaxed environment for our team and consequently work hard to allocate classes to teachers that are most suited to their abilities and experience. Although our team is of a sufficient size for us to be able to accommodate teachers preferences regarding age and level a full-time position would involve teaching 2 out of 3 of the following age groups: young learners, teenagers and adults. Part time teachers may teach a narrower range if preferred. We believe this contributes greatly to the smooth running of the school we are so proud to have achieved over the years.
Almost all our teaching is General English. A syllabus is initially provided for each group, so teachers work with a certain degree of autonomy. However, on-going provision is made for all necessary support and materials to be provided so that teachers may give motivating and enjoyable classes. We actively promote and prepare our students for the full range of Trinity and Cambridge exams so previous experience of this type of class is an advantage but not essential.
Teaching mainly takes place from 4pm to 9.30pm although optional morning work is available.
Total number of hours worked is negotiable. Part-time posts start at 8 hours per week, full time up to a maximum of 27 hours contact hours. We organize our own summer camp in July (optional) where hours are also flexible.
