Job SummaryThe International Centre at Cambridge Regional College are looking to create a bank of lecturers in the area of ESOL/EFL and EFL qualified specialist teachers. We have some immediate needs in ESOL/EFL and some longer-term needs in all areas.
Details of Position
Examples of courses are:
Skills for Life (Trinity): mornings, 9.30 1.00 or evenings 6-9
IELTS, CAE, FCE preparation classes, full-time or part-time
Academic English preparation classes or Academic English support classes for students on specialist programmes
Generic teacher training (e.g. methodology, techniques, use of resources, British Education system)
Winter, Spring and Summer General English classes for Young Learners (12 -15) and adults (16+)
Access to HE (Business and Finance), Accounting, Management, IT, Engineering, HR systems, etc.
QualificationsYou will have a CELTA and a degree level qualification (or a DELTA), as well as ideally have some experience of teaching in an international department/school, although this is not essential. We are happy to develop newly CELTA qualified teachers.
We are looking for people who can work in a team and are happy to develop courses on their own. You must be flexible and adaptable. Basic IT skills are required and we can provide support with the use of college systems. We also operate a system of classroom observations.
Salary and BenefitsRate of pay will be £20/teaching hour and meetings are paid for separately.
Positions may be short-term or longer term depending on your circumstances and our needs.
