    EFL Teacher
    British School of Foggia
    Location Foggia, Puglia, Italy
    Deadline Friday 07. November 2014
    Experience 1 year
We are looking for a full-time EFL teacher to work at the British
School in Foggia. Full-time contract (max. 28 hours per week) from
    1st October 2014 until 30th May 2015.

Opened in 1989, this modern, friendly school in the centre of
Foggia offers English language courses to students of all ages and
levels. One-to-one or group lessons (maximum size - 12 students).
We also prepare students for University of Cambridge English
Language exams (KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE) and are a Cambridge
Exam Centre. Teaching contract is for a maximum of 28 contact
hours a week spread over morning, afternoon and evening classes
(variable), Monday to Friday (school closed on Saturday and
Sunday). Teachers' timetables are a mix between one-to-one and
group classes. Teachers have access to our resource library and
other materials in the teacher's room where they can prepare
lessons and leave their teaching materials.

The British School of Foggia is a small, friendly and supportive
school for both teachers and students. Teaching-wise the school
gives teachers a wide range of teaching experience between adults,
children, teenagers, business English etc. The school offers
continual teacher support throughout the teaching year. Director
of Studies is available for teaching advice and general support.

Accommodation is in a flat 5 minutes walk from the school shared
with other teachers. Reasonable monthly rent and bills.

Foggia is a small city with a growing university. It has a lively
pub nightlife in the city's historic centre and various
restaurants and pizzerias. There is lots of opportunity to make
friends and practise Italian outside the school. Foggia has all
the facilities (shops, transport, sports facilities etc..) that
you would expect in a large town. Travel, eating out and shopping
is generally quite cheap. For travelling to and from Britain to
Foggia the nearest airports are Pescara, Naples, Bari and Rome.
Foggia has excellent train and bus connections with both north and
south Italy, which teachers in the past have made full use of for
weekend breaks to see Italy's most famous attractions (eg, Naples
is a 2 hour bus ride and Rome 3 hours by train)

Although Foggia is a modern city by Italian standards, it has a
picturesque historical centre and there are a number of
interesting towns and villages nearby to visit for day trips, as
well as being very close to the beautiful Gargano coastline.
