    ALTA Egitim AS

Company Background: ALTA Training, Inc. is located both on the European and Asian side of Istanbul (Besiktas, Bakirkoy and Caddebostan) and has been serving well-known companies as an expert in practical language communication training for the last 13 years.
"English in 5 Days" programs are full-day programs, running from 9 A.M. to 6 P.M.; Monday to Friday/Tuesday to Saturday/Wednesday to Sunday, 5 days in a row.
Most of the top companies are our corporate clients. Our students are professionals from business life. We open several groups every week varying from level zero to high level business classes.
We have 3 branches located in both sides in Istanbul; Besiktas, Bakirkoy and Caddebostan. Our training facilities are centrally-located and easily reached by public transportation.
We teach English in a relaxing and motivated environment. You may choose the weeks you prefer to work or a full time job with us.

We are looking for experienced dynamic, personable, motivated, results-oriented, native English teachers for adult learners only. **WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FROM NATIVE SPEAKER ENGLISH TEACHERS (from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand) OR NATIVE SPEAKER ENGLISH TEACHERS WITH TURKISH CITIZENSHIP!**

Our goal is to provide maximum results in a short period of time, by assessing the adult students' needs, and meeting them in a relaxed and comfortable, yet stimulating and motivational environment.

The day goes by very quickly with lessons using a modified Suggestopedia technique, games, role playing, and other activities. We mainly focus on improving speaking ability with the support of vocabulary and grammar lessons, and active practice. Our classrooms are not like typical English classrooms. They consist of a living room area and a dining room, with comfortable chairs, cd player, bright rooms, computer and cd projector, as well as a variety of games, magazines, and other resources.

There are several commonsense factors you should consider when applying for a post, attending an interview or working abroad.
  • Do not provide any banking or credit card information when applying for a job.
  • If you are concerned about divulging your home address in your resume, consider using a post office box or similar forwarding address.
  • When attending a job interview, if you feel in any way uncomfortable with the situation or the person/s you are dealing with, walk away. Also consider your work location, do you feel it is safe? Would you be happy to work there late at night?
  • Always let a friend know that you are attending an interview, when and where. acquaint yourself fully with how to get to the interview and how to get back.
  • An interview should always be arranged in daylight hours.
  • If the job appears to be "too good to be true", it probably is. Fully research the employer via web forums, search engines and previous employees. Most reputable employers should be happy to put you in touch with previous/current staff.
  • As previously stated, no reputable employer will ask you for money (even for a visa, work-permit etc.). If a tefl.com advertiser does ask you for payment, refuse and contact us immediately.
