|EFL Counsellors (summer schools)
Bucksmore Summer Programmes
||Cambridge, Oxford, Surrey and Sussex UK, United Kingdom|
||Monday 30. June 2014|
||No experience required|
Bucksmore is recruiting EFL Counsellors for its British Council-
accredited summer schools in Oxford, Cambridge, Surrey and Sussex.
Counsellors have the opportunity to work on both the teaching and activity programmes.
Bucksmore Education is looking for EFL Counsellors to deliver engaging EFL lessons and lead stimulating activity sessions at its residential summer schools in the UK.
We welcome individual students and small groups from over 40 different countries. For our students it is a fully immersive English language learning experience as they live, study and play as part of an international community.
Bucksmore has been running high-quality, residential summer schools since 1979. The results of its 2013 inspection put it in the top 10% of all English language schools accredited by the British Council.
This year we have 8 centres:
-Corpus Christi College, Cambridge
-Clare College College, Cambridge
-Magdalene College, Cambridge
-Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge
-King Edward's School, Surrey
-Plumpton College, Sussex
-St Hilda's College, Oxford
-Brasenose College, Oxford
The Counsellors we recruit will have the opportunity to work on both the students' academic programme and activity programme. They also have pastoral responsibilities.
The Bucksmore EFL Counsellor role is a demanding but ultimately very rewarding one. Because of the 'boutique' nature of the camps and small number of students you work with, you have the chance to really get to know and inspire the children.
We aim for our recruitment and selection process to be fair and equal. Successful applicants will come from diverse backgrounds and with varying levels of experience but all will be able to demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm to work with children and ensure they have the complete 'Bucky' experience.
Bucksmore is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The post holder’s responsibilities for safeguarding the welfare of the young students for whom they are responsible and with whom they come into contact, will be to adhere to Bucksmore’s Child Protection Policy.
As part of our commitment to safer recruitment all applications must include a full and up to date work and education history. You will be asked to explain any gaps in your CV and any applications with significant omissions will not be considered. You should provide the contact details of at least 2 referees. Referees will be asked specifically whether there is any reason that you should not be employed in situations where you have responsibility for under 18s.
Once appointed you will be required to provide evidence of your ID and qualifications. You may also be required to undergo an Enhanced CRB Disclosure.
PLEASE NOTE THAT BUCKSMORE CAN ONLY CONSIDER APPLICATIONS FROM EU NATIONALS OR PEOPLE ALREADY IN POSSESSION OF A WORKING VISA/PERMIT.
BUCKSMORE EDUCATION CANNOT ENTER INTO ANY APPLICATIONS FOR WORK PERMITS OR SPONSORING.
Details of all the Bucksmore programmes are available from our website: www.bucksmore.com

for a post, attending an interview or working abroad.
Do not provide any banking or credit card information when applying
for a job.

consider using a post office box or similar forwarding address.
When attending a job interview, if you feel in any way uncomfortable
with the situation or the person/s you are dealing with, walk away. Also
consider your work location, do you feel it is safe? Would you be happy
to work there late at night?

(even for a visa, work-permit etc.). If a tefl.com advertiser does ask
you for payment, refuse and contact us immediately.
