    Chengdu is a city that once you came, you don't want to leave her again.EF Chengdu stands as a proud and well established member of the global EF community. Our first school opened in 2001 and since then we’ve been growing rapidly. We now have 4 centers in our city with more than 32 full time native English teachers and over 3,000 students studying with us in EF Chengdu. This year, we are opening our fifth centre.

    Due to our continuous expansion, we are looking to enlarge our team. We need qualified and experienced teachers to join our professional and hardworking team. You will be part of a team of committed teachers who can add value to the school in many ways.

    We teach a variety of classes from 3 years old up to 18 years old. We prefer flexible teachers who can teach a range of levels and ages. Teachers must be native speakers of English with a university degree and a TEFL certificate or equivalent.

    We work up to forty hours a week with a maximum of 20 hours per week in the classroom during the off-peak seasons. We have two days off per week. During the peak seasons, 4 weeks in winter and 8 weeks in summer, we work 20 hours per week in the classroom. We have one day off per week

    Qualifications
    Candidates should be native speakers, with Bachelor's degree (graduated at least 1 and half year). Teaching experience is not necessary, but candidates with previous ESL experience will be considered first.

    We are looking for candidates who are positive, motivated, enthusiastic and flexible, with a professional attitude towards teaching and an interest in developing their skills and experience.


    Compensation
    Evaluated gross monthly package value of 9,500– 12,500 RMB which breaks down as follows:
    • Excellent basic salary: 7000RMB-10,000RMB(after tax), depend on experience& the position
    • Accommodation: Apartment provided by school(around 3,000 per month) Western style, furnished, near the school
    • Flight allowance: Half payable after 6 months, half after 12 months
    • Monthly KPI bonus
    • Contract renew bonus
    • Paid Z visa application and residence permit.
    • 12 days public holidays plus 10 vacation days per year

  • As previously stated, no reputable employer will ask you for money (even for a visa, work-permit etc.). If a tefl.com advertiser does ask you for payment, refuse and contact us immediately.

  • Register with your embassy as soon as you arrive in the host country.

  • Your safety is paramount. If you feel uneasy with any part of the application procedure or interview, walk away!

    Going abroad...
  • Get travel insurance and check that the cover is appropriate.
  • Check what vaccinations you need at least 6 weeks before you go and consider whether you need to take extra health precautions
  • Ensure you have a valid passport that is in good condition and the necessary visas.
  • Make copies of your passport (including any visa pages), insurance policy plus 24-hour emergency number, and ticket details. Leave these copies, your itinerary and contact details with family and friends.
  • Take enough money for your trip and some back-up funds eg travellers cheques, sterling or US dollars.
