    InterPress company has been working in the educational sector of Kazakhstan since 1998. Company has 6 main divisions: Bookselling, Language school, Exams Centre, Teacher Training Centre, Studies Abroad Dept. and Travel agency.

    Bookselling: InterPress is the biggest distributor in Kazakhstan and Central Asia for publishers specializing in foreign language teaching materials, such as Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Pearson Education, Longman, Macmillan Education, Penguin, Langenscheidt, Max Hueber Verlag, CLE International, Hachette and others.

    InterPress has its own travel agency called InterTravel. It is an IATA accredited agent and provides various travel services such as study abroad programs, tourism, booking and selling air-tickets, visa support and insurances.

    InterPress-International House Language School is the largest and the most respected school of foreign languages in Kazakhstan. As a member of the International House World Organisation we offer job opportunities to language teachers.

    • The majority of our classes are adult General English classes, but we also have a very active young learner programme, in-company classes, Exam classes (TOEFL and IELTS), Business English classes and ESP programme. The variety of programmes offered by InterPress-IH provides our teachers with excellent opportunities to grow and develop their skills.

    • Professional development: InterPress-IH has a monthly seminar programme. Teachers attend seminars on a variety of EFL topics related to their day-to-day teaching concerns. These seminars are given by the DOS, ADOSes and teachers themselves. We also run occasional EFL workshops on demand. Teachers are observed regularly by senior members of staff as part of our ongoing commitment to teacher development.

    • Career opportunities: InterPress-IH values its teachers and is proud of their work and professionalism. As the largest school in Kazakhstan we can offer our teachers excellent opportunities for career advancement. Our Educational Management Team (EMT) consists of Senior Teachers, Assistant Directors of Studies and Director of Studies. The EMT provides guidance and support for teachers and is constantly revising and improving our educational systems and procedures.     • As a Teacher Training Centre we offer Cambridge CELTA, IHC, IHCYL, Oxford Teachers Academy programmes and other courses. Our teachers may get assistance in doing the courses in our Centre while on contract with InterPress-IH.

    • InterPress-IH is an accredited IELTS, TOEFL iBT and Cambridge ESOL Test Centre.

    Qualifications
    Our ideal candidate for an ADOS position will be a native English speaker and a DELTA and/or IH DOS Certificate holder, and have at least one year experience in a senior position and teacher training, preferably at an IH School.

    Our ideal candidate for an EFL Teacher position will be a native speaker and possess CELTA or equivalent qualification. At least 1 year post-CELTA teaching experience is preferable.

    For all positions experience in teaching YL and Exam Preparation (IELTS and TOEFL) is highly preferable, Business English qualification will be an advantage, along with an IELTS Examiner and Cambridge YL Examiner qualification.


    Compensation
    12-month long contract for an ADOS position and 9 or 12 month contracts for Teacher positions with competitive local salary, a bonus system, visa support, paid accommodation, airfare subsidy, paid holidays and health care.

    Start date
    ADOSes: early September 2010.
    Teachers: September-October 2010.

    Monthly salary (depending on qualifications and experience)
    ADOS post - KZT 195 000 - 225 000 (net)
    Teacher post - KZT from 135 000 for newly qualified teachers to 180 000 (net)
    (1 USD currently = approx. 147 KZT).

    Remuneration package:

    • Visa support. The school assists and covers the costs of a multiple one-year work visa.

    • Airport transfer on arrival and departure

    • School accommodation is provided free of charge. All bills are paid by the school (electricity, gas, cold and hot water, local telephone etc) for those living in school flats; excluding international telephone calls, cable TV and internet. Accommodation allowance is paid to those who wish to find their own housing.

    • Paid induction period upon arrival

    • Airfare allowance – 105 000 KZT per contract for travelers from Europe and 150 000 KZT for travelers from the USA, Canada and Australia

    • End of contract bonus.

    • 20 days paid holidays (for 12 month contract) + public holidays. 2 of the paid holidays are provided during the New Year school holidays.

    • Teacher Training Fund for the purposes of professional development.

    • Health care (consultations with a school doctor)

    • Free access to email and Internet facilities

    • 24-hour hotline emergency assistance

    • Opportunities for promotion and transfer in one of the world’s leading educational organizations
