DIPLOMA OR MASTERS?
"I have the RSA CTEFLA and approx 4 years TEFL teaching experience. For the last 3 years however I have been working in a completely unrelated field and would desperately like to resume my EFL career. I know the DTEFLA is highly regarded in England but I now live in New York and am struggling to find information on what qualifications are highly regarded over here. I would at some stage though like to come back to England so am searching for a course that would both further qualify me in EFL and allow me to work in the USA as well as England. I have seen many job postings requiring an MA TESOL / Linguisitics - is this highly regarded in the USA as well as England? Do you know whether the DTEFLA course exists in the USA? Any information on this would be very much appreciated. - Anita "
