Hours: an average of 21 per week is guaranteed.
'Full Time' is 15 hours per week and 'Intensive' is 25 hours per week. We can offer either but as far fewer students choose Intensive there is a possibility that only alternate weeks of Intensive teaching will be available (conversely, we have, on occasion, had to ask 'full time' teachers to do the occasional Intensive week as we have always been able to provide weekly afternoon classes to those who have asked)
Student ages: 15-17 and 18+
Levels: Beginner to Advanced
CIE is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo Child Protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Criminal Records Bureau.
Successful applicants will be required to comply with all current child protection legislation and adhere to the staff code of behaviour as set out in our child protection policy.
Completion of an Enhanced DBS (or police check if from a country outside the UK) is a condition of employment.
Cambridge CELTA or Trinity TESOL + Bachelor Degree
Salary and BenefitsWe have pay grades that reflect an employees' Qualifications, Experience and Loyalty to CIE (ie returning summer teachers).
Starting salary, ie newly qualified CELTA teachers, is £16.50/hour going up to £18.50/hour.

We are an all year round language college in Oxford. We relocate to Lady Margaret Hall for our senior school in the summer. At our senior campus we have students between the ages of 14-15 and in separate classes, students 16 and over. The students can choose between a 15 hour or a 25 hour per week course; the morning classes following a course book and the afternoon classes being more topic based and using a variety of materials. All materials are provided by us and are free for teachers to use.
