Details of Position
We are looking for a residential manager for the boarding section of an international summer school. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the accommodation and ensure the safety of students in the boarding school during the summer period. They will be responsible for ensuring that staffing levels are adequately maintained when students are on site. They will supervise evening on-site activities with the support of other members of staff.
The successful applicant should be able to show initiative and work autonomously. A certain amount of flexibility is required, as is the ability to use good judgement and sound common sense. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is an enjoyment of team working. Leadership skills and the ability to occasionally work under pressure may be required. Experience in leading activities would be an advantage as would some knowledge of Health and Safety issues as well as an understanding of safeguarding principles.

The post will start from 10th July 2017 up to 20st August.

The Cambridge Centre for Languages was established in 1982 and is both accredited by the British Council and a member of English UK. The school runs two concentrated blocks of courses per year- one in the summer (July- August), the other in the winter (Jan-Feb), specialising in young learners, aged 10-17. Students generally stay for between 2 and 6 weeks during these periods. We also run flexible courses for small groups.
