Details of Position

Churchill House Summer Centres are currently recruiting managers for our residential summer schools. We offer very attractive salaries, excellent locations, full training and support for the right candidates.
We have vacancies at several locations including London, Cheltenham, Ramsgate, York, Bath, and Edinburgh.
Centre Managers, Activity Managers and DOS’s are responsible for the overall management and safe running of the school whilst ensuring that our customers receive the best possible experience of our schools.
Centre Managers are responsible for ensuring that company procedures are implemented fully throughout the course, particularly those relating to student welfare/safeguarding.
Churchill House Summer Centres is a British Council accredited school. In our 2014 British Council inspection we were awarded 8 areas of strength including academic management, staff management and care of students. This score makes us one of the highest-scoring multi-centre schools.

Candidates for management positions must have management skills and have experience of working in a residential language school setting. You must genuinely enjoy working with young people as all our staff are also expected to play an active role in student supervision/care work, for instance supervising them in the accommodation buildings, at meal times and at lights out.
Directors of Studies must be qualified to British Council TEFLQ standards
Our Safer Recruitment Policy:
All applicants will be required to supply an up-to-date CV (any gaps in employment history must be explained satisfactorily) and the contact details of 2 suitable referees (including former employers) which will be checked prior to employment. The referees will be asked specifically about your suitability to work with children.
All employees will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check unless they provide details of their DBS Update Service subscription. Appropriate local police checks will be required from applicants living overseas.
All employees will be expected to provide proof of identity and all relevant qualifications (originals only) – photocopies will be taken for our records. All employees will be required to sign a Children Act declaration to state that they are not barred from working with minors.

Salary and Benefits

Centre Managers: £725 per week + holiday pay
Directors of Studies: £655-£700 + holiday pay
Activity Managers: £535-£580 + holiday pay
Note: Management Salaries quoted include maximum performance-related bonus.
