Details of Position
We are looking for an experienced EFL teacher with a track record in teaching young learners and managing a Young Learner (YL) programme. Ideally you will have YL training experience in particular delivering TYLEC. The Tunis teaching centre is located in modern, 3-storey, purpose-built British Council premises. We have 15 classrooms, all equipped with interactive whiteboards. We also deliver Young Learner courses in partner premises at the British International School of Tunis.
The centre has between 800-1000 adult students per term on regular public General and Business English, and Exam preparation courses and around 1500 young learners across three age groups – Primary, Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary. We also teach a small number of corporate contracts both on and off-site.

4 years post-certificate i.e. CELTA/Trinity cert TESOL experience
Experience in teaching at least one of the following YL groups
Young learners aged 8 to 10 (400+ hours)
Young learners aged 11 to 13 (400+ hours)
Young learners aged 14 to 17 (400+ hours)
Experience in teaching
Adults General English 18+ (800+ hours)
Recognised diploma in EFL i.e. DELTA/Trinity diploma in TESOL
A UK first degree, or at least a British qualification in teaching (PGCE, TEFL-I) is necessary to facilitate gaining a working permit
