Winchester College, Hampshire

At Winchester College we offer an intellectually stimulating summer school designed for high level international students (upper-intermediate to proficiency) who choose different Majors and Minors each week e.g. International Relations/Model UN, Debating, Digital Photography, Leadership Skills, Business Studies, Drama, Film Making.
We are recruiting an experienced and qualified Humanities teacher for the Major in International Relations/Model UN.
Classes will introduce students to the fundamentals of International Relations using Model UN simulations to apply their learning. We want to inspire the next generation of leaders and decision makers while encouraging critical thinking and complex problem solving. You will support students in refining their English language skills through debate, discussion and research.
At the end of the week, students may present their Model UN simulation to the school and visitors.
Uppingham School, Rutland
Age range: 11-16 years
Dates: Wed 5 July – Fri 4 August 2017
The Discovery Plus course at Uppingham is our most intensive study programme. It is aimed at students with a high level of English (upper intermediate to proficiency) who are studying at an English medium international school or want a taster/preparation for UK boarding school. The course is designed to expand students’ existing knowledge of core academic subjects in English in a fun and stimulating environment.
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Humanities teacher to teach History/Geography. You will have 25 contact hours per week. Weekly topics (e.g. space, medieval times, fairness and justice) tie in with the study visits and your lessons should be planned to ensure the students are developing their understanding of the subject (e.g. history) in relation to the weekly topic (e.g. space) while developing their English language skills.
• Degree, appropriate PGCE/B.Ed.
• Experience of teaching the relevant age group
• CELTA or Trinity TESOL
• Previous summer school experience/International school experience
• Experience of teaching multi-lingual, multi-level classes

Salary and BenefitsThese are residential posts. Full board and accommodation is offered. You will work a 6 day week.
From £480 gross per week +statutory holiday pay (12.07% paid at the end of the contract) + discretionary bonus.
