Details of Position
Teachers are expected to work closely with Activity staff in order to provide interesting and relevant lessons. We offer the support of an experienced centre manager and DOS to assist with this.
So that our teachers can be at their best during lessons we strive to ensure that adequate planning time is provided.
Successful applicants will need to be enthusiastic and motivated, preferably with experience of teaching young learners in a summer school environment.
Flexibility, creativity and energy are essential to working in a busy summer school.
Contracts are for between three and six weeks (please state preference/availability on application)and occur between 7th July and 20th August, with a maximum of 21 teaching hours/week plus planning and some additional duties such as providing pastoral support, supervision on trips /airport runs and assisting with activities.

Salary and BenefitsSalaries range from £350 to £380 depending on experience.

XUK currently runs two residential camps and three day camps in London and East Anglia. We have been running residential summer camps and summer schools since 2002, and in 2009, our Attleborough camp was awarded an 'Outstanding' grade by OFSTED. The success of our summer camps is down to the hard work, dedication, preparation, organisation, creativity and professionalism of the people we employ both year-round and during the summer.
