Details of Position

If you are looking for a varied teaching schedule, a supportive academic environment, a great cultural experience and good pay and conditions Japan could be just right for you. Teach with Shane English School, an established group of schools in the greater Tokyo area. 1 year contract, renewable. Starting salary is 252,800 yen per month, 247,800 if you don't have CELTA/Trinity. There are overtime opportunities and generous holidays. Good induction training when you first arrive to help you settle in, along with good academic support, ongoing development. You teach a variety of ages (approx. 50% adult students, 50% young learners) so variety of teaching along with "proper" TEFL methodology makes this a rewarding and exciting opportunity.

PLEASE NOTE: To be considered for this position you must hold a university degree and have a CELTA or Trinity Cert, or have a 120 hour online tefl qualification plus teaching experience over a two year period.

Salary and Benefits

Starting salary 252,800 yen per month, 247,800 for non-CELTA/Trinity teachers. There is also the opportunity to earn overtime/bonus payments.
Approx 25 hours contact time per week.
Excellent holiday provision - around 6 weeks paid, including 2 weeks plus at Xmas/New Year
Accommodation provided (deducted from salary) and local travel costs reimbursed.
