Oxford Academy North London is a vibrant, successful independent tutorial college that has helped its pupils to achieve high standards. Oxford Academy is accredited by the BAC, the ISI and approved by EDEXCEL.

We are dedicated to providing high-class National Curriculum support in the form of After-School and Weekend Tutorial classes as well as Exam Preparation Classes for SATs, GCSEs and A-Levels in ENGLISH LANGUAGE & LITERATURE, CHEMISTRY, PHYSICS and MATHS for Primary School, Secondary School and Sixth Form students. We have two well-established branches (Stoke Newington and Edmonton Green) in the heart of North London.

Oxford Academy Tutorial College is extremely well organised and led. Students are highly motivated and expect to make excellent progress. Applicants must be able to inspire their pupils to reach their potential.

We wish to appoint enthusiastic and dynamic teachers who will be committed to our innovative and exciting organisation. An ability to teach to GCSE exam groups would be an advantage. The post would suit either an experienced or a newly-qualified teacher.

This is also an excellent opportunity for someone with high aspirations to further develop their leadership and management skills. As Oxford Academy is an expanding school, we have still vacant positions for Deputy Head of Science with responsibilities of Curriculum Development and Quality Assurance.

Teacher is required to join a highly successful and expanding tutorial college. These positions are perfect for dynamic self-starters who want to expand their knowledge of teaching practice and develop their skills. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
An ability to promote effective teaching and learning across all abilities.
An ability to teach from Year 4 (KS-2) to Year 11 (GCSEs) pupils (max. 8 students per class).
A good knowledge and an awareness of developments in the National Curriculum and other statutory requirements at SATs and GCSEs Examinations.
Enthusiasm and flexibility, excellent organisational skills.
A sound understanding of assessment and monitoring.
Familiarity with target setting and action planning.
Passion for raising pupil achievement.
Commitment to working every Saturday and After-School hours (4:30pm 8:45 pm) in week days (expected at least one week day) during term time.


Candidates must have the relevant experience and qualifications (ideally PGCE, Cert Ed, B:Ed, GTP, BA with QTS).
Candidates should be native UK based graduates.
CRB check is essential.

Salary and Benefits

Main Pay Scale (or, hourly wage rate varies between £12 and £20 depending on teaching experience and qualifications) plus Performance related Loyalty Bonus. Guaranteed contractual hours may vary from minimum 4 hours up to 26 hours per week depending on the working commitments of the candidates.
