Details of Position
Location: EF Cambridge
Reporting to: Director of Academics
Starting as soon as possible, the successful applicant should be an experienced, preferably Diploma qualified (or working towards a Diploma) EFL teacher with a proven track record.
Holiday entitlement is 20 days a year (to be taken outside the summer period) & Bank Holidays; you may be required to work some Bank Holidays but these days with be given in lieu. Salary, based on qualifications and experience, will be discussed at interview.
Duties will include:
Working with DOA and senior teacher to ensure efficient and effective running of the Academic department.
Deputising for DOA in their absence.
Assisting DOA with student testing, class allocation, delivering academic information, producing timetables for new students, teacher timetabling & other administrative tasks.
Assisting DOA in delivery of Continuous Professional Development programme, including carrying out teacher observations & organising and leading internal training sessions.
Liaising with teachers on a regular basis with regard to class progress and student changes.
Dealing with student enquiries, problems and complaints as required.
Assisting in the induction of new teaching staff.
Responding to sales office enquiries relating to academic issues.
Representing the academic department/school at internal & external meetings.
Teaching as required.
Assisting with school emergency on-call rota.

QualificationsMinimum CELTA/Trinity TESOL certificate (with DELTA application in progress)and experience in a variety of mono-lingual and multi-lingual teaching environments. Diploma qualified preferred.
Administrative experience desirable.
