Job SummaryStudent Support Managers oversee every aspect of the student enrolment process, from initial enquiry until students return home at the end of their course and are the single point of contact for every family enrolling children on their course. Student Support Managers are based at our Head Office year-round & are responsible for the delivery of excellent customer care, booking management & welfare support for the summer schools and summer school management team.
Details of Position
Summer Boarding Courses Ltd (SBC) is an education provider, sitting part of a wider group, Dukes Education. SBC creates and delivers residential summer courses for international students aged 8-17 years old at respected British boarding schools and Colleges at the University of Oxford.
SBC has Student Support Manager vacancies for our SBC Oxford school (ages 8 to 12) and our Headington Oxford Summer School (ages 13 to 16).
Student Support Managers oversee every aspect of the student enrolment process, from initial enquiry until students return home at the end of their course. For their summer school, Student Support Managers are the single point of contact for every family enrolling children on their course. Student Support Managers are based at our Head Office year-round and are responsible for the delivery of excellent customer care, booking management and welfare support for the summer schools and summer school management teams.
This is a fixed-term contract for 12-months with a built-in review for the end of this period.
Being well informed about all of Summer Boarding Courses programmes and offerings
Responding to enquiries over the phone and by email
Following up on enquiries to convert to bookings
Processing and managing bookings on the CRM system
Acting as the point of contact with parents and students
Building a close and supportive relationship with families who book with us
July and August
Communicate with the parents and school on a daily basis
Oversee any welfare and pastoral issues, liaising between parents and the school management team
Provide feedback to parents on student progress
Provide feedback to the school from parents positive feedback, as well as any concerns
Play a key role on arrival and departure days communicating students movements to parents
Contribute to the updating of the school blog
Other Areas of Responsibility (Pre- and During Summer)
Responsibilities may also include support across other functional areas including, but not limited to, recruitment, school logistics and stock, the Social and Excursion programmes and other administration and support
Essential Skills and Experience:
Educated to degree level or equivalent
An effective and confident communicator, possessing excellent written and verbal skills
Experience in at least one of the following areas:
o Working with young people
o Customer Care
o Working within a residential environment
Proven success managing customer relationships
Very strong administrative and organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work autonomously and to take ownership of the task
Strong IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook
Ability to work effectively during key months June-August
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Previous experience of using Salesforce or other CRM system
Experience of foreign languages or cultures through travel or work
