Sprachcaffe Languages Plus in Brighton is looking for a Student Services and Welfare Officer for an immediate start.
The Student Services and Welfare supports the Director of Studies in all student services and welfare aspects of the management of the school. Responsibilities are as follows:
•Management of the Junior Summer School
•Academic administration
•Student Services
•Student Welfare and Health & Safety (including Safeguarding)
•Providing an engaging school environment through organizing student activities, workshops and events
Applicants should be highly organized and results driven, with excellent communication and customer service skills. They will thrive under pressure and demonstrate leadership skills.
This is an exciting role for experienced and highly motivated individuals with passion for ensuring quality, developing people and project management.
Essential skills include: ability to work in a team, ability to build and foster relationships, ability to motivate and develop others, great customer service skills, entrepreneurial spirit, effective communication and ability to manage own performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Take a leading role in the implementation of academic and leisure projects, including both adults and U20s.
2.Implement professional development plans to ensure continuous innovation and improvement of Sprachcaffe Brighton.
3.Liaison with other departments and contractors in order to ensure customer satisfaction and to improve service.
4.Create and implement schedule of extracurricular activities, including student clubs, student social events (both in and out of school) and leisure activities.
5.Ensuring all projects are delivered within a structured budget.
6.Assist with recruitment of admin staff if necessary, in accordance with company policy (including child safeguarding and welfare).
7.Ensuring all HR documents are provided by new admin staff and that all admin documentation is up to date.
8.Acts as Safeguarding Lead for the entire school.


• Native level speaker of English
• Has an enhanced DBS check
• First degree or above
• CELTA/ Trinity Cert
• Experience working in a multicultural environment
• Professional appearance
• Computer literate with proven competence in administration
• Experience leading and organizing activities
First Aid certificate
Safeguarding Level 2 & 3

Salary and Benefits

£21,000 pa (including pay and summer bonus).
