PGL, founded in 1957, operates at 22 outdoor activity centres across the UK, France and Spain. We are the UK’s leading provider of residential activity holidays and educational courses for young people.
PGL have a fantastic opportunities for EFL Director of Studies based at Barton Hall, Torquay (10/07 – 31/07), Windmill Hill, East Sussex (25/06 – 10/09), Winmarleigh Hall, Lancashire (15/07 – 12/08), and at Osmington Bay, Weymouth, and Caythorpe Court, Lincolnshire (various short term contracts). For the right candidates we might also have roles based at our other activity centres across the UK.
PGL delivers a fantastic EFL programme to our inbound guests travelling to PGL’s UK centres from Europe, Asia and various long haul destinations. Guests enjoy a mix of classroom based EFL sessions and off-site excursions.
As a PGL Director of Studies you will oversee the implementation and smooth running of the academic programme. To ensure our guests have the best experience, you will manage the teaching team to deliver high quality language classes, teaching wherever necessary, and be the liaison for all Group Leaders' inquiries about the course content.


• Enthusiastic fluent English speakers holding a Cambridge DELTA/ Trinity Diploma TESOL/ TEFL Q or equivalent.
• Previous experience of delivering in a classroom style setting.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• The ability to deliver high levels of customer service.
Successful applicants are required to undergo an enhanced DBS disclosure, which PGL will pay for. You need to possess the legal right to live and work in the UK to be considered for employment with PGL. Salary and Benefits

This role is a residential position, with accommodation onsite at our activity centre. We offer a competitive wage of £525 a week, rising to £575 after 20 weeks employment, with an accommodation offset of £42. You’ll receive 3 meals a day free of charge, access to training and development opportunities and a free staff uniform.
All roles are fixed term contracts with flexible dates.
