Details of Position

OIEG Junior Programmes are looking for two teachers who could teach a 30 hour ESL + Geography CLIL course in our Guildford centre (accommodation & meals provided) from 7 – 19 July.
CLIL stands for 'Content and Language Integrated Learning' and refers to teaching subjects such as science, history and geography to students through a foreign language. While no specific qualifications in Geography are required we welcome applicants with either experience in teaching Geography or an interest in the subject.

OIEG is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Part of the post holder’s responsibilities for safeguarding the welfare of the young students for whom they are responsible will be to adhere to our Child Protection Policy. As part of our Safer Recruitment Policy you will be asked to explain any gaps in your work and education history, agree to a DBS Enhanced Disclosure and sign a Suitability to Work with Children Declaration where you will be asked to state any criminal convictions. Applicants based overseas will be asked to provide evidence of a 'clean' local police check. All applicants will need to provide at least 2 referees. When following up references, referees will be specifically asked if they have any concerns about the applicant working with young people.


Minimum requirement:
- CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL (or Accreditation UK-recognised equivalent) or PGCE in English/MFL
- Geography degree

Salary and Benefits

Residential EFL Teacher: £345 per week plus 12.07% accrued holiday pay
Non-Residential Teacher: £405 per week plus 12.07% accrued holiday pay
