The school also runs a highly successful bilingual kindergarten in a separate building in Bielsko-Biala and a bilingual primary school in the same building.
The working week is from Monday to Friday. The regular amount of teaching is 21 contracted hours per week plus 1.5 h standby. In-school group teaching is mostly from 15.30 to 20.30 while 1-2-1’s and in-company classes may be timetabled in the mornings, afternoons or evenings. The teaching load will include a mixture of levels and age groups including young learners, teenagers and adults and the timetable may involve split shifts. However, teachers are not required to teach outside a 12-hour band during the day. The contract may also include teaching primary school students (45 mins a day).
We are dedicated to the learning of both our students and the teaching staff and we offer regular training sessions and support in all areas of teaching. Weekly one hour training sessions and teacher meetings are part of the contract. A 3-day induction (27-30 September 2017) will be held before commencing teaching to orient teachers to the school.
The school is located in Bielsko-Biala, in the south of Poland, near ski areas in the beautiful Beskidy mountains. The location is ideal for teachers who are interested in skiing, snowboarding, hiking, sailing and horse riding, as well as those who wish to travel around Europe as there are connections to Prague, Berlin, Budapest to name just a few.

- CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, or equivalent
- a degree
- one year’s experience of teaching EFL in an approved environment
- experience and/ or interest in teaching young learners
- full mastery of English across all 4 skills to CEFR C2/IELTS band 9
- YL Extension to CELTA or IH Certificate in Teaching Young Learners and Teenagers
Salary and BenefitsTeachers on fixed contracts:
The salary will be between 3000 PLN and 3800 PLN depending on qualifications and experience, plus:
- 100 PLN monthly bonus for completing an electronic register;
- 100 PLN monthly bonus for YL Extension to CELTA/ IHCYLT/ CELT-P qualified teachers.
- 20 working days of paid holidays (including 2 weeks at Christmas and 2 weeks winter break);
- 10 free survival Polish lessons;
- a free ski pass or cash equivalent of 300 PLN
Self-employed teachers are paid per hour + bonus for completing an electronic register.
The school will pay 100% of the cost of emergency consultations with general doctors and specialists, emergency hospital treatment, and treatment for illnesses and injuries which occur in Poland. The school also pays 50% of the cost of prescriptions and emergency dental treatment. (Please note: this does not apply to self-employed teachers)
The school assists in finding accommodation and teachers are responsible for the monthly rental bills and all utilities. It is usual for tenants to pay 1 month's rent as a deposit upon signing the rental agreement.
Teachers may be given the chance to do a two-week intensive IHCYLT (IH Certificate in Teaching Young Learners and Teenagers) course with the school in September 2018, which will be free for returning teachers on successful appraisal and completion of full-time employment contract. 50% of the course fee will be charged to teachers who only complete a one year contract.
Teachers teaching the youngest age groups will be given the opportunity to complete an online phonics course (Jolly Phonics) free of charge.
